TWIN LOTUS KOH LANTA
Do you know that feeling that when you get somewhere and you immediately feel it’s right? That’s exactly the feeling we had at Twin Lotus! Even when we hadn’t made any move on the resort’s ground yet. The good service started immediately upon arrival at the Saladan Pier of Koh Lanta. Here the friendly staff waited for us with a refreshing cold towel and a bottle of cold water before we got into the minivan towards this splendid resort. Exactly what we needed after the ferry from Koh Phi Phi!
In less than ten minutes we arrived at the stylish reception that was built on an island in a pond, complete with fountains. You immediately come to rest in the beautiful surroundings. Good to know is that Twin Lotus is an Adult Only Resort, children under the age of 18 are not allowed here.

To get to the reception we had to cross a small wooden walkway. Our luggage had already been taken over from us. Again we were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink and a cold towel. You feel it right away, it’s holiday!

After checking in we were asked to sit down in a golf cart, in a few minutes we were at our Deluxe Seaview Villa. Amazing service because we could have walked this easily. But if you’re a bit further away on the large terrain this can be nice of course. Wherever you want to go on the resort grounds, you just have to call and they will pick you up with a golf cart.

Deluxe Seaview Villa
Our detached villa was about ten meters from the beach and from our soft king-size bed we had a view of the sea and palm trees between two other villas. By the way, the bed had a heavenly mattress! We would have liked that mattress at home as well! The villa has a beautifully finished high ceiling with a mosquito net. Behind the bed was a desk to work at, ideal if you have some work to do along the way and if you don’t have to work you just enjoy the beautiful view!

Besides the noiseless air conditioning there was also a separate fan and a nice mosquito net above the bed if you prefer to sleep without air conditioning. The villa felt very luxurious and new. Everything you would expect from a luxury hotel was present in the compact villa of 38 m2. We had a minibar, safe, bathrobes, slippers, 32″ flat screen TV, DVD player, umbrella, flashlight and even a scale.

The beautiful bathroom can be reached through 2 high wooden doors, this immediately gives a luxurious feeling. On the left side is the shower with an extra rain shower and on the right side the toilet. In the middle is the sink with care products such as a shaving kit, toothbrushes, tube of toothpaste and a hairdryer.

From the villa we were through the sliding doors with a few steps on our own terrace with lounge sofa and 2 sun loungers, of course again with sea views! A lovely place to read a book or just do nothing.

Kong Dao Beach
The Twin Lotus Resort is located on Klong Dao Beach. This is a lovely wide and long beach. The sea is clear and gently sloping. You can sup, kayak and of course swim. Twin Lotus is located on the quieter part of the beach, but if you walk along the beach towards the south there are a number of cozy little bars and restaurants on the beach. Most restaurants belong to the hotels and resorts on the beach. Twin Lotus also has a restaurant directly on the beach.
2 restaurants and 3 swimming pools!
Twin Lotus Resort & Spa has two restaurants, the Bua Fah Restaurant and the Barracuda Restaurant & Beach Bar. In the Bua Fah Restaurant your will find out that a very extensive breakfast buffet is served. There were different kinds of cheeses, freshly made smoothies, (dried) fruit, hot and cold western and Thai dishes and an egg station where you can have an egg of your choice prepared. The breakfast at Twin Lotus is really tasty! Don’t use the scale in your room!
From the Bua Fah Restaurant you have a view of the sea and the swimming pool, there is also a pool table, dartboard and a large library with reading corner and bar. A cozy place even after dinner!
The Barracuda Restaurant & Beach Bar is located a few steps from the beach and at one of the 3 swimming pools that the Twin Lotus Resort has. The largest pool is an infinity pool right on the beach.
The Barracuda Restaurant & Beach Bar has an extensive menu where you can enjoy complete meals and tasty snacks all day long. Between 17.00 – 19.00 there is happy hour at the Beach Bar.

Relax and unwind
Twin Lotus has everything you need to completely unwind. A nice beach, excellent service, good food and very friendly staff. There is also a Spa where you can book various treatments. But also if you want to be active and want to explore Koh Lanta further you can. You can easily rent a scooter near the resort for 250 baht per day, at the hotel they will be happy to help you. You can also book several nice excursions at the tour desk in the lobby.
Besides Sea View villas, Twin Lotus also has Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Garden Villas, Deluxe Beachfront Villas, Private Superior Rooms, Private Pool Deluxe Rooms, Private Pool Suite Rooms. Plenty of choice!

Koh Lanta is a lovely island to explore by scooter or car. You bypass the high taxi prices and you can visit nice places at your leisure. We have a very good experience with Lanta Sky. You can rent a scooter or car from them that they bring and pick up again when it suits you best. If you want to rent a car you have to leave your passport, that is Koh Lanta everywhere. Renting a scooter without your passport is often possible when you pay a few thousand baht deposit. Are you going to Mu Koh Lanta National Park? Then ask for a powerful scooter, especially if you want to go with two people on a scooter. The roads to the National Park go up a lot and that calls for some extra power.
