TUI BLUE KHAO LAK RESORT - THE ADULTS ONLY RESORT OF KHAO LAK!
If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Khao Lak, then the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort is the ideal accommodation for you! TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort is an adults only location, everyone 16 years and older is welcome. Coincidentally… we are a little bit older than 16. We longed for a few days of complete rest and this beautiful resort in Khao Lak is the place to be. We wanted to recover from the busy Christmas days on Koh Phi Phi and have a good rest before we went on the day tour to the Similan Islands. Below you can read about our findings at the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort. What we can already tell you is that we visited the Similan Islands well rested.
DID YOU KNOW?
Formerly called the Sensimar Khao Lak Beachfront Resort, this resort has been called TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort since 2020.
The location
The TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort is located in the south of Nang Thong Beach, almost opposite the Khao Lak Lam Ru National Park. The resort is just off the main road that runs through Khao Lak. As a result, you won’t be bothered by traffic. The advantage of the location near the main road is that the resort is easily accessible by scooter or car. On the other side is the beach of Nang Thong overlooking the Andaman Sea.
Nearby, especially on the main road, you will find numerous cozy bars and good restaurants. At a 10 minute walk from the resort, we rented a scooter from the friendly people of Khao Lak C-Nior Travel. TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort is not far from the Bang Niang Night Market, which unfortunately was a bit deserted during our stay in December. Fortunately, there is more than enough to discover in the surroundings of Khao Lak by scooter! In short, a prime location sandwiched between a busy road and calm bay. Here you can completely unwind and still easily find the atmosphere.
The TUI BLUE Khao Lak (Adults Only) Resort
Because we wanted some quiet days during our Dec 2021/ Jan 2022 trip, we chose an Adults Only resort. You can really tell the difference, no screaming children in the resort, or crying during breakfast or dinner. Not that we have anything against kids, but it does offer a little more peace and makes staying at a nice resort all the more comfortable.
What options are available for booking at the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort?
The resort consists of a number of large and smaller buildings housing all kinds of room types. In total, there are 214 rooms divided into six different types of spaces. All the rooms/bungalows of the accommodation are pleasant and spaciously decorated and all of them are very clean. Below we will go over the different options that are available for booking at TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort.
Deluxe – Garden Wing
There are 88 rooms of the Deluxe – Garden Wing type, the resort’s cheapest booking option. The Deluxe contains a total space of 44 m2 including a balcony overlooking a pool or the resort’s garden. The room also contains a small sofa and a convenient dresser. The bathroom contains a freestanding bathtub + separate shower stall, an asset for the cheapest room available.
Deluxe – Mountain Wing
This room is the same as the room above, but located at the back of the resort. Nice and private and quiet.
Deluxe Corner – Garden Wing
With a whopping 55 m2, this is the largest room. Ideal for a family with older children or a group of friends. The Deluxe Corner consists of a living/bedroom area and an additional bedroom. Guests can choose between a large king size bed + 1 single bed, or a corner room with a king size and two single beds.
NOTE
Since TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort is an adults only resort, it is not possible for children under 16 to stay here.
Deluxe Pool Access – Garden Wing
Personally we are always crazy about this kind of Pool Access Rooms! So from your nice room to the terrace and with a big leap into the pool! The Pool Access rooms of this resort are 44 m2 and are similar to the Garden Wing rooms.
Deluxe Bungalow – Garden Wing
The Deluxe Bungalows are 52 m2 with a large terrace and wonderful living space. The bathroom has a freestanding bath plus a shower cabin. Very comfortable and nice to wake up on your own terrace in the green garden of TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort!
Our room, the Deluxe Bungalow Beachfront
The Deluxe Bungalow Beachfront, the only room missing from the list of six, was our type of room. In our humble opinion, the very best choice to book, thanks in part to the amazing sea views. There are only 14 of these types of bungalows in total on the property, so we recommend booking them early especially in the busy months. For current prices or to book this bungalow or other room check Booking.com and/or Agoda.

Terrace at the Deluxe Bungalow Beachfront
When we arrived at our beautiful beachfront bungalow, we first had to climb a small staircase of about ten steps. The stairs led us to a terrace where there were two deck chairs and a table with two normal chairs. There was also a rack placed to dry your towel and clothes, very handy after a day at the beach which is less than 20 meters from the room. On the days we stayed at this relaxing resort, we spent a fair amount of time on the terrace. After a full day of touring Khao Lak, it was very nice to relax here and recharge for the evening.

The bungalow itself
Upon entering, there was a long desk on the right side that could be used to work on. Further on, the TV hung above the desk and there was plenty of storage space built in for goodies. A bench and small table were on the left, with a fruit basket with local delicacies and a bottle of wine on it. Very thoughtful of the staff. They had heard that we had recently gotten engaged. THANKS! At the very back of our large clean bungalow was the mini bar with a kettle, cups, glasses and coffee/tea on top. Next to it was a place to store your luggage and the closet with built-in light and the safe.
The overall layout and storage of the bungalow was well thought out. Perhaps this sounds familiar, but sometimes we have trouble with the use and location of light sources and switches in hotel rooms. Not at all here, nowhere did we have to search or turn the wrong lights on/off.
Finally, the bed, sigh, the nice soft spacious bed that we slept oh soooooooo well in. A bed in Thailand can sometimes feel quite hard. Not in the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort, here the bed is perfect, not too hard and not too soft. Almost as good as our bed at home haha. And do you see how nicely they have decorated the bed (see the images below). That’s how we do want to be surprised every time we book a room!
The bathroom at the Deluxe Bungalow Beachfront
At the back of our room was the beautiful bathroom. The bathroom of almost 10 m2 consisted of a freestanding bathtub on the right side and a large shower stall placed in the left corner. In the middle against the wall was a huge washbasin with lots of storage space including several extras. Even something we rarely see in resorts with a bath: bath salts. Very convenient if you have a bath. Also toothbrushes, a comb, shaving kit, soap and many other small gifts were thought of.

The beach in front of the resort that is part of Nang Thong Beach
A big plus of the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort is the beach adjacent to the resort. This gives you the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the salty seawater of Khao Lak, in addition to the freshwater in the pools. Across much of the beach are large rocks over which you can easily walk to the rest of Nang Thong Beach.
At various places of the resort, as well as at the beach, beach beds have been placed. The choice is yours, lie back in the shade of the trees, or bask in the Thai sun. Despite the fact that the sea in Khao Lak is not the most beautiful we have seen in Thailand, it is no punishment to swim in it. The beach and the sea so close to the resort is really an added value. Nice and quiet too… without young children.

TIP
At a minimum, go for a sunset on the beach. The sunset at Khao Lak is truly magical!
Good eats and drinks at TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort
Across from the beach are also the two restaurants of the resort, namely the Main Restaurant and the Culinarium. Unfortunately, we were not able to eat everywhere as we were also on a full day tour to the Similan Islands.
Breakfast at the Main Restaurant
Let’s start at the beginning, the start of the day and thus breakfast. In our case, at the end of December 2021, due to the Covid-19 situation, it was only possible to order breakfast via a menu. Nothing wrong with that at all. Normally a breakfast buffet is available. From the menu there was plenty to choose from, the portions were ample and everything was fresh and well prepared. The only lament was that occasionally the order had not come through correctly to the kitchen. As a result, we were sometimes (happily) surprised with a different dish. Despite this, we did not regret it, because everything was very tasty and this happens more often in Thailand.
The Main Restaurant also has a large terrace with sea view. A very nice place to wake up in the early morning. Especially with a tasty and varied breakfast including coffee or tea. Every day we chose different breakfasts such as toast with jam and butter, an omelet with everything on it that we could choose. The last morning we chose yogurt with fruit to compensate a bit for the previous breakfasts. Besides coffee and tea we also got fruit juice and an extra plate of fresh fruit.

Relax dining at the beach
On the last evening of our stay, we decided to have a relaxing dinner on the beach of the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort. Our bungalow was practically next door to the Culinarium (about twenty steps away), so a relaxing evening was very easy to come by. We ordered a Massaman Curry and Chicken Cashew including two beers and thoroughly enjoyed our fine stay at the resort.
Beverage here, beverage there
During our days at the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort, we ordered a variety of drinks. From mocktail to cocktail and from hot coffee to Thai iced tea (cha yen). Of course, a fresh coconut on the beach or beer at dinner could not be missed. The resort has an extensive drink menu. Everything was tip top in order.

Five pools and much more!
Besides the good rooms and the delicious food, the resort has another good asset. There are no less than five swimming pools on the beautiful grounds of TUI BLUE in Khao Lak! Our favorite, how could it be otherwise, the Main Pool including the Pool Bar. A blissful pool surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas. Actually, it’s two pools with the Pool Bar in between. A cooling oasis of peace and recreation!
As an alternative to the Main Pool, you can also swim in the three pools adjacent to the Deluxe Pool Access rooms. Almost always it is nice and quiet there and you can enjoy that well-deserved vacation. As if that wasn’t enough, there is also a pool a little hidden away on the large property. We won’t tell you where, you can find it yourself. You can find the pool in the picture below or just by spending a few nights at TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort.
Sports and games
Of course, a classy resort like this can’t do without a gym with plenty of fitness equipment. Prefer a fun and social game? At the resort there are several board games to borrow and in the special playroom there is a table football machine, ping pong table and a pool table. You really never have to be bored at this resort!
The lobby
Did we almost forget the lobby…. The starting and ending point of your wonderful stay at the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort. This is the place where you will immediately feel the warm hospitality of the professional staff and be welcomed with a drink. Here you will find the library with hundreds of books in different languages. And if you unexpectedly need/want to do something on the computer, you can use a PC in the adjacent computer room. Everything has been thought of in this resort.
DID YOU KNOW?
Speaking of computers/technology? TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort uses a handy app (Android and iOS) that allows you to easily look up and request various information. For example, it’s possible to use room service through the app, but you can also make special requests and even see the status of your outstanding bill.
In conclusion
The period we stayed at the resort was very, very relaxing! If you’re looking for accommodation in Khao Lak for a worry-free vacation, consider spending a few nights at the TUI BLUE Khao Lak Resort! The resort combines the best of high-quality hotel experiences and customized individual vacations.
