TON CHONG FA WATERFALL

The Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is an impressive waterfall in the middle of the rainforest of Khao Lak. It is part of the Khao Lak Lam Ru National Park. The waterfall consists of 5 levels and is fed by the Bang Niang Canal. In the area live tapir, hornbills and other species of birds. Are you a nature lover and a little active? Then you will definitely appreciate this waterfall!

Fish spa

The waterfall is not directly on a road, to get there you first have to take a walk from the parking lot. The walk is about one kilometer on a dirt road. Halfway this path you pass a fish spa. Maybe you know them where you go in with your feet and where the little fish eat the dead skin cells of your feet. Here you can also do that but in the middle of nature.

Climbing and clambering

The waterfall has 5 plateaus where you can walk / climb to where you can cool down in the water on each floor. The water is usually between knee or mid-deep, which also depends on the season. In the rainy season the waterfall is usually deeper than in the dry season.

Between each level there is always between 35 and 100 meters of climbing and clambering. The total distance is 1.335 meters. Level 1 is achievable for most children and already very beautiful. The second level of the Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is during the whole year the best place to swim.

After the first plateau of the waterfall it gets steeper and a little more climbing and improvisation is expected from you. Fortunately, there are sometimes railings or ropes to help you. It is best to decide on the spot what is feasible and fun for you and your party. To the highest fifth level is a challenging jungle path, eventually you will reach a waterfall of 20 meters high, a spectacle!
