In the popular (shopping area) Siam Square you will find several nice shopping malls. One of them is the luxurious Siam Paragon where you can shop all day and evening, eat good food and even go to the sharks… During your vacation in Bangkok a visit to Siam Paragon is definitely worthwhile. Stroll through the air-conditioned corridors of this luxury shopping center. So much luxury together you rarely see and you can also enjoy delicious food! Plan at least a few hours because Siam Paragon is large and make sure you have enough balance on the couch if you want to buy something. Siam Paragon is not cheap…

Where is Siam Paragon?
Siam Paragon is located in the center of Bangkok, just opposite BTS Station Siam. Nearby are other shopping centers such as MBK Center, Central World, Siam Center and Siam Discovery. Ideal for a full day of shopping! Even if you don’t want to go shopping, a visit to the shopping malls in Bangkok is still worth it! The shopping malls are very modern and nicely decorated, so it quickly feels like a day out.
Biggest shopping mall?
On 09-12-2015 Siam Paragon was opened on the spot where there used to be a large hotel. The cost to build this stylish shopping center was around 375 million euros. During the opening Siam Paragon was immediately awarded the title of largest shopping center in Thailand, but this did not take very long. A year later, this luxury shopping mall in Bangkok was rejected from the throne by Central World. In 2020, ICONSIAM is the largest shopping mall in Bangkok. The question is for how long?
Siam Plaza
Siam Plaza is the square between Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery. Through this square you reach the main entrance of Siam Paragon. Events and happenings are regularly organized at Siam Plaza. In addition, Siam Plaza is ideal for that fun Instagram post because of the fountains that can be found here.
The main entrance Siam Paragon
After arriving at BTS Station Siam with the sky train you will be in front of the main entrance of Siam Paragon within a few minutes. In front of the door you immediately notice that this is a luxurious shopping center. The facade is completely made of glass and shines towards you. Once inside you are immediately caught by the large space including fountain.
Every time we walked in here we were surprised by another theme. No idea how often a theme changes but at least every year. The main entrance or main floor is also called The Luxury and for good reason … Welcome to the luxurious Siam Paragon!
SAVE MONEY
As a tourist you can purchase a Tourist Card at Siam Paragon and the two other connected shopping centers (Siam Discovery and Siam Center). You will receive a 10% discount on various purchases, but there are many more deals available with the card. At some stores or restaurants you get up to 30% discount!
The Luxury (Main Floor)
The name The Luxury is actually an understatement when you walk through the main floor of Siam Paragon. You’ll walk past stores of elite brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Bvlgari, Saint Laurent, Burberry and Hermes. All in all, these luxury brands may have as much turnover as a small country. In Siam Paragon, you can seriously buy a million euros (or more) worth of goods in a single day.
DID YOU KNOW?
In Siam Paragon you’ll also find many famous Thai fashion houses and famous Thai clothing designers. So it’s not only the western brands that can be found here. A well-known example of this is the side brand Jim Thompson. We’ve also written an article about the famous Jim Thompson House, but also about the brand itself.
Fashion Venue (First Floor)
Fortunately, on the second floor of Siam Paragon there are also clothing stores for the “common people”. Here you will find for example a mega-sized Zara and H&M. The prices in these stores are the same as in the west so you don’t look forward to bargains like you’ll find outside the mall. Got an appetite for a cup of good coffee in the meantime? There is a Nespresso store on this floor, maybe you can taste a good coffee…
Lifestyle & Leisure (Second Floor)
On the second floor of Siam Paragon you can buy those new Rolls of Porsche we talked about earlier… Do you have anything less to spend? On this floor you can also buy a camera, self-iestick or other accessories. Good to know if you forgot for example a filter or other tool for your GoPro at home.
Living & Technology (Third Floor)
On the third floor of Siam Paragon are mainly home appliances and furniture for the house. In the living & technology department you will find a number of super nice home furnishing stores. We therefore recommend that you do not skip this floor! And if you’re tired, do a nice ice cream with tasty toppings at Buddhi Belly. A super nice Frozen Yoghurt store, ideal for a small stop to give your feet some rest.
Paragon Passage & IT World (Fourth Floor)
On the fourth floor you can buy art objects and authentic Thai stuff but strangely enough also computer stuff. If you need a cable or charger for your laptop then this is the place to be! Besides the various stores there is also a fitness center and even a music school started by the famous brand Yamaha. Who knows, maybe the new Schwarzenegger / Beethoven will be discovered here!
Education Zone (Fourth Floor)
Einstein can of course also go to Siam Paragon, because on the fourth there are also numerous educational programs and learning pathways. These are mainly aimed at children but also adults are never too old to learn. So you can learn Chinese and other languages. Prefer to become good at a sport? Then you’ll still enjoy playing tennis. Everything is possible in Siam Paragon!
Entertainment Zone (Fifth Floor)
On the fifth floor of Siam Paragon you will find the Entertainment Zone. A floor full of entertainment! So you can go to the cinema (see our article about amazing cinemas in Bangkok) but also bowling, climbing on a climbing wall and to KidZania. KidZania is an interactive city for children between 4 and 14 years where there is a lot to experience and learn.
Nice restaurants and cafes in Siam Paragon (Ground Floor)
Of course there is also plenty to eat and drink in the Siam Paragon shopping center. For this you need to be on the first floor of Siam Paragon. This floor is below the floor where the main entrance is. There are many good restaurants and trendy cafes in Gourmet Paradise. But there is also a real Siam Paragon FoodHall where you can pick up dishes from various kitchens that are located here. Prefer to cook yourself or get something to snack on? Gourmet Paradise
You will certainly not starve in Siam Paragon! From international fast food chains to well-known Asian restaurants can be found here. Besides a number of restaurants on the fourth floor, most restaurants are on the first floor. Whether you want to have breakfast, lunch or dinner and from sandwiches to steak and from Thai dishes to desserts it’s all possible here. We have eaten so good here several times that we decided to write a separate article, good eats in Siam Paragon.
Gourmet Market
Besides the numerous restaurants and the Paragon FoodHall, there is also a large supermarket in Siam Paragon! We always like to visit the Gourmet Market because we see all kinds of new products that are unknown in the West. But what you do know they often have because Gourmet Market also imports a lot of products from abroad. Sometimes we even do an errand there so that we can have some goodies at the hotel or for our next trip to a destination in the north or south of Thailand.
Oceanarium (Basement Floor)
Finally, attention to the largest aquarium in all of Asia. In the basement of Siam Paragon you can find SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World. More information about this special water world can be read in this article.
Of course we cannot mention everything that can be found in Siam Paragon. There is so much to discover in this huge luxurious shopping mall! From beauticians to jewelry, from motorcycles to cell phones and from art galleries to karaoke.
