OUR JUNGLE HOUSE - SLEEP IN THE JUNGLE!

Tarzan and Jane (and all the other nature lovers), pay attention because this is the place to be! As soon as you arrive at Our Jungle House you will get the feeling of being far away from civilization! In reality it is only a 20 minute walk to the village of Khao Sok, but because Our Jungle House is located in 25 hectares of private rainforest, you will soon forget this! Our Jungle House is an eco resort and all bungalows and tree houses are all made from natural locally grown materials such as bamboo and nipa palm. The unique accommodations do not have air conditioning but do have a fan and hot water.

Swim in the Sok River

Our Jungle House is located near the Sok River and a very high large limestone rock formation! From the resort you walk straight into the river via the private pebble beach for a refreshing swim. The pebble beach is sloping slowly, so you can relax in low tide. In the middle there is a rapid and it gets deeper. You can imitate Tarzan (or Jane) on one of the ropes that hang here.

A number of tree houses are connected to each other by stairs, making them ideal for families or groups. All accommodations have an open character, meaning that the walls do not extend all the way to the roof. This allows you to experience the jungle optimally, from the bathroom you look into the jungle from eye level! Really super cool!

Sleeping in the Jungle!

We slept during our last stay (2019) in Parkview and previously we slept once in the Riverview bungalow. The furnishings of the bungalows are largely the same. The different types of bungalows vary mainly in size, sleeping places and location. The Riverview bungalow is located near the river and the Parkview tree house a little further into the park. We both loved them!

Both places had freshly made beds with a large fully lockable mosquito net. The white sheets and the mosquito net gave us exactly the safe feeling we needed in the middle of the jungle in an open house. Because it is quite a bit exciting the first night!

From our balcony we overlooked the jungle wall and while we shower we saw a hummingbird eating nectar from a flower! Amazing! Monkeys are also regularly seen. You are therefore advised to close windows and doors properly and to store food at the reception. This because otherwise your house can sometimes be taken over by the monkeys!

By the way, it wasn’t too bad with the critters in the room, we didn’t saw spiders, snakes or complete ant colonies in our tree house, only a few mosquitoes. No tough stories for us!

Jungle sounds!

We found the evenings and mornings in the bungalows fantastic, the jungle then comes to life! Sitting on your balcony or lying in your bed listening to the cicadas, geckos and many other sounds from the jungle that you cannot bring home is an unforgettable experience!

The fan in front of the bed provides cooling during the tropical nights, but it also helped that everything was open. In the middle of the night it even became a bit chilly, luckily there is also a blanket! We appreciated that there is free citronella incense and a large drinking water dispenser in the room.

TIP!
Our Jungle House is the only resort that has 3 free Nature Walks on its own land, so you see a nice piece of real jungle without having to leave Our Jungle House.
