KOH SAMUI

Koh Samui is a very popular island among holidaymakers who besides sunbathing, lazing and swimming also want some liveliness. In the evenings you can eat, drink, shop and stroll in for example Fisherman’s Village. The days you spend on the beautiful white beach of Chaweng Beach, where you will be served at your beck and call…

On Friday evening almost the whole island goes to the cozy Friday Night Market at Bophut Beach. Koh Samui has almost everything an average beach resort on the mainland has, so that even the most spoiled travelers will be satisfied. Along the pristine white beaches are many luxury resort that leave nothing to the imagination. For some action you can rent a jet ski or take a tour on the banana boat. Moreover, it is a small effort to get to the island, because from Bangkok you fly directly to the island in just over an hour.

But Koh Samui also has another (more quiet) side. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a nice holiday here. Instead of the plane you take the adventurous night train from Bangkok and ferry from Surat Thani. You easily can explore the island by scooter and look for nice little bays like Crystal Bay. If luxury isn’t a necessity for you, there are more than enough budget accommodations to find. So there are definitely even quieter places on Koh Samui, you just need to know where!
