THE BEST ACCOMMODATONS IN THE AREA OF KHAO SOK NATIONAL PARK
When you visit Khao Sok National Park, you’ll usually stay a couple of nights in a nice accommodation in the area around Khao Sok National Park. There are so many fun things to do and the area is so beautiful that one day in the area really isn’t enough! Most people stay two or three days and almost everyone combines a visit to the village with a tour to Cheow Lan Lake. Visitors to the lake can choose to stay overnight in a floating bungalow or from a day tour.
Important to know is that the accommodations are not located in the Khao Sok National Park itself, because this is not allowed. Fortunately, otherwise there would probably be nothing left of this beautiful jungle that is hundreds of millions of years old. The surroundings of Khao Sok National Park are also very beautiful because of the dramatic rock formations in the background.

Here you’ll sleep in one of the best hostels in Khao Sok Village for a bargain! This clean hostel is located in the middle of the village, with the cheapest option spending a night in a mixed dormitory. You will get to sleep in a bunk bed with comfortable mattress. Guests can also choose to book a triple room in the Khao Sok Secret Hostel. The hostel has a fine restaurant with a spacious terrace balcony where guests can relax and enjoy a meal from the restaurant. The hostel and restaurant are run by Khun Patch, a very friendly lady who together with her team will do anything to make you as a guest have a good time.
The Khao Sok Palm View Resort is located one kilometer from Khao Sok Village and offers guests a choice of six different bungalows, sleeping from two to four people. There is a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel at home at the Khao Sok Palm View Resort, Thai hospitality at its best!
A personal favorite and one of the very best mid-range resorts in Khao Sok Village! The team at Khao Sok Morning Mist Resort is extremely friendly and welcoming! The reception and the Misty restaurant are a few meters from the main street of the village and the different types of bungalows are located a bit deeper in the serene tropical garden with beautiful flowers and fruit trees. Guests who get up early understand why the resort is named Morning Mist. Around the surrounding cliffs and rocks in the distance there is almost every morning a haze of fog, which is very beautiful to see! Morning Mist is a popular resort and therefore quickly booked up in high season, so don’t hesitate and book your stay in advance. In most cases you can cancel your reservation free of charge until a few days before departure.
Our Khao Sok Morning Mist Resort review.
The Khao Sok Cabana Resort is a five minute walk from the center of Khao Sok. The resort has clean basic rooms with soft beds and a good shower. One nice thing about this resort is that most of the bungalows are accessible by an elevated walking path, which winds through the park like a snake. It is said that they make the most delicious American pancakes in all of Khao Sok here!
Personally we think Our Jungle House is one of the best accommodations in Khao Sok! Below we briefly tell you why, if you want to read the longer version, check the link to our review at the bottom of this text.
If you want to sleep in an ecological way in the middle of Khao Sok’s jungle, our friends at Our Jungle House are the ones to go to! This resort has been around for decades and here you can sleep in a tree house and/or along the Sok River, among other things. Our Jungle House is not located on the main street of the village, but more hidden in the jungle, walking a small half of the village. That makes this location so unique, you really feel like living in the middle of the jungle. The bungalows and tree houses have no refrigerator or air conditioning, but they do have a fan, water dispenser and hot water shower. Guests can book different types of bungalows and tree houses, with names like Happy Nest, Romance and Hideway.
The Our Jungle House review.
Our friends at Our Jungle House, have also been running the Our Jungle Camp – Eco Resort since 2017. Just a short kilometer from Khao Sok Village, this beautiful resort is tucked away among a green oasis. The manager, a friendly German, is very committed to the area, the nature and the people of Khao Sok and you feel that in everything when you are a guest here. Lush plants and colorful flowers grow everywhere and numerous fruits, vegetables and herbs are grown on the property to be used in the resort’s kitchen. The cheapest option to spend the night here is in the Bamboo Hut, a basic bungalow with a beautiful view over the field. As a couple, you can have a good time in the Adobe Earth House, a beautiful and well-kept bungalow. Families are recommended to spend the night in a spacious tree house with two floors and possibly a view over the Sok River, WOW!.
Khao Sok Nature Resort is located 2.2 km from the center of Khao Sok Village where you can spend the night in a well maintained tree house! The resort is run by a friendly family who can cook delicious food! That makes the choice of eating in the village, for which you have to walk half a mile, or eating in the resort a lot easier. When we visited this resort the monkeys were swinging through the trees, always nice to see! Besides monkey watching you can play a game of pool or watch TV in the spacious recreation area and there are regular activities for the kids on the premises. Often in the evening the BBQ is fired up for a pleasant outdoor meal together. For families with children we highly recommend the large treehouse, which has two balconies and two double beds.

According to many visitors, the Montania Lifestyle Hotel is one of the best hotels in Khao Sok. On the property, near the center of Khao Sok Village, there is a lovely swimming pool with sunbeds. The Montania Lifestyle Hotel has several types of rooms, including the Thai Classic Room, which can be booked as either a ground floor or an upper floor room. The balcony of the upper floor offers a fine view of the beautiful surroundings including the distinctive cliffs of Khao Sok National Park (highly recommended). A slightly more luxurious option is the Thai Boutique Chalet. This bungalow is equipped with all the modern conveniences.
Tanoshi Glamping is a lot further than most of the accommodations we mention here, about 10 km from Khao Sok Village. Despite the distance, a stay in this unique accommodation is worth considering! You sleep in a large tent with all the trimmings. Even a refrigerator and mobile air conditioning are not lacking. From your luxury tent, with built-in hammock, you have phenomenal views over the green jungle and you can watch a beautiful sunset.
The best period to stay here is from December to March and from July to September, when the sunset from this location is the most beautiful!
A ride to or from the village costs 300 THB from the friendly owner, for which you pay 500 THB in the center of Khao Sok. The question is whether you actually want to leave this beautiful place at all…. Want to eat and drink? You can do that in The 99 km Coffee House, which is from the same owner and is located next to the accommodation!
