In this feature called ‘In the Picture‘ we ask great photographers from all over the world to share their 10 most favorite Thailand photos with our readers. See Thailand through the lens of the photographer, read the background stories and learn more about the land of smiles.
Those who follow this column know by now that we really enjoy showcasing good photographers with the same love for Thailand from all over the world. And yes, we did not yet have a Serbian from Switzerland in our collection! Very nice to be able to show you some beautiful images of Dalibor! Welcome Dalibor!
Hi Dalibor, could you please introduce yourself to our readers?
Dear readers of Thailand Magazine,
My name is Dalibor Lukic and I am Serbian, but born and raised in Switzerland. I was born in 1988 in Grabs (a small village) and currently I live in Switzerland, in Buchs SG. Every year I travel to Thailand for 3 months. I started photography not so long ago, on 12.12.21 to be exact. During my vacation I bought the Sony 70-350mm zoom lens and that’s how it all started on my Instagram page :).
@Thailand Magazine, thank you so much for inviting me 😊

This is the first photo I took during my visit to Krabi Province. This photo was taken at Phra Nang Beach, Railay.

One of the landmarks in Bangkok, King Power Mahanakhon. I took this photo from ICONSIAM (HOBS terrace), located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
What is your favorite destination in Thailand?
Koh Chang because of its very chill vibe and beautiful sea.
Which place / destination in Thailand is still on your wish list to visit?
I would very much like to visit Chiang Mai. I have been traveling to Thailand since 2015, but I have never been here.

Once again, it was time for a beautiful sunset on Koh Chang. To be exact at Kai Bae Beach, in my opinion, the best place for a sunset on the island.
Which place / destination do you recommend our readers to visit and why?
Where do you like to eat?
Sor Chuanchim Restaurant on Koh Chang (Kai Bae Beach). This is a real Thai restaurant with Thai owners. They don’t have an Instagram or a website, but the food there is amazing and so cheap, you get very large portions of delicious food here. So don’t be stingy, tip them in a good way😊

Another beautiful sunset, but this time in Pattaya. Shot from Beach Road, the road that runs parallel to Pattaya Beach.
#6
This photo was taken during one of my walks on the beautiful island of Koh Lipe. This was a hot but magical day for me this island not far from Malaysia.
Tip us a nice coffee shop or bar where our readers can drop by.
What is your favorite Thai dish?
Panang Curry with chicken (gai).
#7
The famous Sea La Vie Beach Bar located on Sunrise Beach. A very nice bar on Koh Lipe that you need to see when visiting the island.

This picture with palms was just taken with my phone on Koh Lanta. Sorry, I don’t remember the name of the beach, but what a picture, right?
What is your favorite accommodation in Thailand?
Stay at Sleep in Koh Lanta at Klong Khong Beach on Koh Lanta. A nice room for an adorable price!
Do you have a (travel) tip that might come in handy in Thailand?
Don’t plan too much when you go to Thailand, you will feel more free. People in Thailand will always help you, if you need advice😊.
Is there a Thai phrase or word our readers need to learn?
Mi Cim Fan is a toothpick in Thai, I always need these after lunch or dinner😁
What type / brand of camera do you use?
A Sony a6000, 70-350mm lens, 50mm lens, and my Huawei phone, a Nova 5T.
