IN THE PICTURE #61: MAX
In this feature called ‘In the Picture‘ we ask great photographers from all over the world to share their 10 most favorite Thailand photos with our readers. See Thailand through the lens of the photographer, read the background stories and learn more about the land of smiles.
And once again an amazing photographer is participating in this column! Max makes beautiful pictures of the ordinary life on the street but also of the striking buildings in Bangkok. Max, we really like it that you participate in this column and help promote Thailand! Thanks a lot!
Hello Max, could you please introduce yourself to our readers?
Dear readers of Thailand Magazine.
My name is Nattachai Kittirattanakowit but you can just call me “Max”. I was born and raised in Bangkok where I currently live. In 2012, I studied at the Faculty of Communication Arts where my major was Broadcasting. This was also the start of photography. Someone asked me about my photography guidelines. I answered him “Street photographer” but one day I want to become “Filmmaker”.
I hope you enjoy my photos.

This mural can be found at the Damrong Stitya Bridge (Saphan Lek), located near the popular Ong Ang Canal in Chinatown, Bangkok. You will find a nice Walking Street where you can shop and snack.

Anywhere in Bangkok. I think the same place in the same time offers different beautiful moments.

Phang Nga – I want to see “Samet Nangshe” with my eyes. I have seen a music video by Thai artist Potato Feat. Violette Wautier showing the beautiful view. Now I want to go there myself!

October 2021 – Siam Skywalk, Bangkok
This photo was taken after the severe Covid-19 outbreak in Thailand. After the Thai government lifted some Covid-19 measures it became very busy again. On October 4, 2021, when this photo was taken, it has been a long time since I felt so cheerful. Finally a busy state again with lots of traffic and many people on the streets. This is how a city like Bangkok should be!
Tip us a nice coffee shop or bar where our readers can drop by.
Fats and Angry – A 90s American style with a good mood and tone and ideal for a nice photo.
What is your favorite Thai dish?
I love Krapow and fried rice because it is simple but so delicious.

I would suggest X9 Hostel in Bangkok. Just for the good price, nice rooms and the friendly staff. Overall, this is the best hostel in Bangkok for me.
