Hello Wendy, could you please introduce yourself to our readers?

Good day, everyone!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My full name is Wendy Wiratno, but you may call me Wendy. Some of you may know me from my instagram account : @_suatuhari_.

I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and currently live here as well. I am a father of two teenage sons and a husband, I enjoy traveling and the art of photography, which I believe are inseparable. I was first introduced to the craft of photography in 2017 and since then it has become an important part of my life. These are a few of the photos I took during my trip to Bangkok, Thailand.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Greetings from Jakarta!

Wendy

Asiatique the Riverfront Market in Bangkok

Asiatique the Riverfront Market in Bangkok

This was a photo of the Asiatique the Riverfront Market and I took this photo during my visit at night. This night market is a very lively and interesting place to visit when in Bangkok. Asiatique is an open mall that offers a variety of atmosphere. It is here that you can find numerous Thai and international street food dishes with numerous souvenir stores that are so tempting to visit. This market is a must for anyone going to Bangkok, don’t forget to include it in your itinerary!

It is such a pleasant experience to stroll down Yaowarat Road in Chinatown at night! There are many different types of street food sold here for a cheap price. The nightlife here is very lively, lit by the twinkling city lights that give it a beautiful and generally pleasant atmosphere.

My favorite place in Thailand is around Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River. There are so many historical sites to explore here. Some examples; the Wat Arun Temple, Wat Pho Temple and Asiatique the Riverfront Market.

Which place / destination in Thailand is still on your wish list to visit?

The (peninsula) islands near Krabi (Koh Phi Phi, Railay, Koh Lanta). but also Koh Samui and Phuket. Hopefully we will get the chance to visit all of these great destinations in Thailand.

Chocolate Ville in Bangkok

Chocolate Ville in Bangkok

Don’t forget to visit Chocolate Ville during your trip to Thailand. Chocolate Ville is a tourist attraction with a European (Dutch) concept. Although it is quite a journey to get here, it is worth all the effort! I took these pictures when I visited here during the twilight of the evening, very pleasant and beautiful, isn’t it?

Taken from Ratchaprasong Sky Walk in Bangkok during the blue hour

Ratchaprasong Sky Walk in Bangkok

I took this photo on Ratchaprasong Sky Walk during pre-blue hour. The Ratchaprasong Sky Walk, also known as the Bangkok R-Walk, is a walking path above the roads in the busy center of Bangkok (Siam Square area). The hustle and bustle of traffic and nightlife along this road are so beautiful, I really like the atmosphere of Bangkok with its vibrant life. By the way, the famous Erawan Shrine can also be found here.

I took these two photos at different times of the day, when the sun was setting and when the blue hour was in effect. These photos appeal to me because of the beautiful combination of the Wat Arun and the beautiful sky tones.
