HOPE LAND HOTEL SUKHUMVIT 8

Looking for a decent hotel located in the busy Nana area of Bangkok but still in a quiet street? Maybe the Hope Land Hotel Sukhumvit 8 is a good option! This neat hotel is a five minute walk from the BTS station Nana. In August 2019 we slept four nights in Hope Land and were very pleased with the location, facilities and staff! Who knows, this hotel might also be something for you during your stay in the city of Bangkok!

The location of Hope Land Hotel Sukhumvit 8

Hope Land has several locations in Bangkok but we stayed in the quiet street Sukhumvit 8. Right across this street is the famous Sukhumvit 11. Sukhumvit 11 is a street full of restaurants and nightlife venues such as Above Eleven, a famous sky bar in Bangkok. The advantage of sleeping in Sukhumvit 8 is that you are not far from the cozy atmosphere and from the sky train station Nana. Even the neighborhood Asok known from the shopping center Terminal 21 is only a fifteen minute walk or a few minutes with the sky train. You sleep in a very quiet street but within a few minutes you are in the lively surroundings of Bangkok!

DID YOU KNOW?

The Hope Land Hotel Sukhumvit 8 brings guests to BTS station Nana at regular intervals free of charge.

The hotel’s facilities

Hope Land Hotel Sukhumvit 8 has a lovely swimming pool on the roof of the hotel. On the roof there even is a large piece of garden so you can admire Bangkok from a whole different perspective! A nice bonus is that there is even a small sauna and steam room in the hotel. If it’s not warm enough outside….. By the way you also can sweat by using the fitness equipment in the hotel’s gym.

Start the day with a good breakfast

On the ground floor of the hotel you will find the breakfast room where you can use the breakfast buffet for an additional fee. There is a wide choice of fresh eggs, yoghurt, cereals, bread with toppings and hot dishes. A good offer for a middle class hotel like Hope Land! You can eat indoors as well as outdoors, we enjoyed waking up outside with a glass of juice, a fried egg, some bread and fresh fruit. A good start of the day!

Different types of rooms

The Hope Land Hotel Sukhumvit 8 consists of 130 rooms and yet the hotel doesn’t feel very big. You can choose from a number of different types of rooms with two single beds or a spacious double bed. All rooms are equipped with, among other things, a safe, wifi, TV, air conditioning, kettle, mini fridge or, as in our room, a very large fridge. Everything you can expect from a good middle class hotel in Bangkok!

Our room, the Superior Double Room

During our trip through Thailand we stayed four nights in the Superior Double Room of the Hope Land Hotel on Sukhumvit 8. A good room in an ideal location to discover Bangkok! Our room was fully equipped and we even had a microwave and a washing machine in our kitchen. In the street Sukhumvit 8 there are two 7-Elevens so we immediately went to get some detergent and did some laundry.

As said, the room we had booked had a kitchen and quite a big one too! Not that we started cooking but it is possible! Besides a kitchen there is a balcony which we always find a plus. There is also thought of a dressing table, a small dining table with two chairs and a sofa opposite the bed in the spacious room. The Superior room feels more like an apartment than a hotel room. The only drawback we found was the styling, not really our taste but we could see through it.

In our “apartment” of 42 m2 the bathroom had a separate bath and a separate shower cabin. The shower pressure was fine and we also thought the bathroom looked very neat and clean. Always important!

PLEASE NOTE!
We understood that not every room has a washing machine, so don’t buy detergent before you know for sure.

Family rooms

In addition to the two different suites (Executive Suite and Suite with bedroom), there are also Family Suites to book at the Hope Land Hotel Sukhumvit 8. Ideal for a family! The Family Suite consists of a small room with a single bed and a large room with a double bed. Of course you can always request an extra bed in one of the other rooms, they will be happy to help you in Hope Land! So pretend to live with your family in Bangkok for years and book an apartment near the cozy Sukhumvit 11 and the BTS station!
