From Soho Hospitality with LOVE!

Dear Thailand Magazine readers, We hope that you’ve all been safe and sound across the globe! The Covid-19 crisis has impacted us all in various ways and have brought major challenges to the hospitality industry - from airlines, to hotels, to restaurants and bars, and more. In these trying times, it is important for us to support one another - especially the small local businesses - no matter where you are in the world. We have been very lucky and unbelievably touched to see that our loyal customers, as well as new customers, are still continuing to support us by ordering our food through home delivery (our only means of business at this moment). But we also have not forgotten to give back to the community in any way we could, either through meals donated to the hospital for our incredible modern day heroes - our doctors, nurses & medics, or through food supply donation to those in need. This is the time when we should all unite and lift each other up! We trust that there’s a light in the end of the tunnel and are positive that we will bounce back from this situation stronger than ever as a community. Once again, we thank you all for your support. Please keep ordering our home deliveries as well as other local restaurants’ home deliveries, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our restaurants and bars very soon! Until then, stay safe, stay healthy and stay happy! Much love, -----The Soho Hospitality Team Parent company of Above Eleven, Charcoal Tandoor Grill & Mixology, Havana Social, Cantina Wine Bar & Italian Kitchen & Soho Pizza. -----

From Carrot on the Moon Hostel with LOVE!

The covid wave hitted our business and took our money, but the saddest part is the fact that we can no longer be close to our friends, customers and the people that we love. Before corona, every time I would feel depressed I would go to see the sunset or the sunrise in a viewpoint in Pai and renew my energies, but not in corona time, it's harder to find peace and balance now. The hardest thing is to open my eyes in the morning, knowing that my old life no longer exist, everything changed, there will be no friends around, no customers around. So when all this craziness has passed, the first thing I will do is go catch the sunlight with my friends. It is also a pain in the ass having to were a lot of things before going out, need to get the sunglass, wear the jacket, wear the mask and get the wallet, shit, I forgot the motorbike key, back to the house... But, there is a beautiful thing that corona made me see. People started to share more, even those who don't have a lot of money are donating and buying food for the less fortunate. When we had cases of Covid-19 here in Pai, we started a project to donate food for those working at the hospital, a lot of restaurants joined and helped. That's a good sign that there is still kindness in the human heart Me and the crew of Carrot on the Moon, we are all very happy to see everything starting to get back to normal and we hope that when people start travelling again they will be more respectful with the nature, customs, care for the another and enjoy all the little things, stop the selfish tourism. Well, now our hostel and café is back open, we are very small, cozy and homey and we are more than ready to start receiving all the open hearted people from all over the world. Hang in there beautiful souls and come have a coffee with us when everything is better. From Thailand with love, ----- Carrot On The Moon Hostel -----

Sawasdee from The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok! We are delighted to send our best wishes and to say that we miss all of our international travelers in Thailand. Now that we are in June. Thailand is almost completely COVID free and we are looking forward to the skies reopening. Throughout this crisis, The Athenee Hotel is one of the very few luxury hotels in Bangkok to remain fully open and operational throughout. Supporting the community by accommodating guests from other hotels, taking part in a new charity ‘Serve to Safe’ to support underprivileged communities and first responders as well as SOS but offering unused food from the hotel not to be wasted. As well as contributing to our community, we have still been looking after our guests with our hospitality and service as well as providing a safe environment to stay. We were the first hotel in all of Thailand to be certified by the SHA (Safety & Health Association) and Ministry of Public Health for cleanliness and hygiene protocols. We are very proud of everything we have accomplished and are ready to take care of you when you next come to Thailand! Hello, dear readers of Thailand Magazine! Much appreciated for involving me in this heartwarming project to show support and positivity. I'm sending big love on behalf of Koh Mook during these unsettling times and together we can all pull through this crisis. Soon, things will pick up and we will be able to remember this as an experience that we were able to power through with the efforts and support of one and other. It is hopeful to keep in mind that not only bad things came from this crisis, but nature was also able to heal. In the meantime, we were given the chance to check up on our loved ones, explore lockdown activities or dust off those bookshelves for an afternoon read or wellies for a spot of gardening, whatever you fancy! Sending lots of love and support, peace xx ----- The Yard crew -----
