In Chiang Rai and the surrounding area, you have some wonderful super-luxury resorts. During our visit to Chiang Rai, we slept in two of these amazing accommodations. The Riverie by Katathani
First The Riverie by Katathani, this gem where we ourselves were guests for a number of nights in 2023. This wonderful resort is located on the banks of the majestic Kok River, in the center of Chiang Rai. The Riverie is a huge resort where both couples and families will feel at home! There are different types of rooms, including the room in which we stayed. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious due to its size of 36 m2. From our room, we not only had a view of the pool and the Kok River, but also of the Wat Huay Pla Kang. This is a huge statue of Guanyin, the Chinese Goddess of Mercy, and a must-visit when you are in Chiang Rai!
This amazing 5-star hotel has an excellent gym with many devices and a huge water park with different slides and an adult pool bar. The extensive breakfast buffet is available from 06:00 to 10:30. On our first evening at the hotel, we dined at The Peak Wine and Grill, a fantastic rooftop restaurant at this majestic resort in Chiang Rai. Here we enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, accompanied by some excellent cocktails while watching the setting sun. You must have eaten here just for the view alone! We would like to personally thank the team of great hospitality professionals! If you are looking for good accommodation in Chiang Rai, then The Riverie by Katathani is definitely recommended!

Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort
Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort is a huge beautiful five-star resort located in the north of Chiang Rai. Set in green surroundings adjacent to the Kok River, the resort is conveniently located between downtown and Chiang Rai International Airport. Sights such as the White Temple and the Blue Temple are also nearby. The resort has 159 rooms divided into five categories. The rooms are equipped with modern conveniences such as a refrigerator, safe, flat-screen TV and air conditioning. The resort has several facilities, including a spacious outdoor pool, gym and a super good luxury spa called Parvati Spa. There are two restaurants and a bar at the resort. The breakfast buffet at Latest Recipe is praised, as is the service at the Italian-oriented restaurant Favola.

The hotel is located on a quiet street, yet close to the center of Chiang Rai. It is easy to reach major attractions such as the White Temple and the Blue Temple. The Heritage Chiang Rai Hotel and Convention
The Heritage Hotel and Convention is a beautiful 5-star hotel located in Chiang Rai’s old town. As the name suggests, the property possesses state-of-the-art meeting rooms. Of more interest to most guests are the two restaurants, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a jogging track in the lush garden. Guests praise it for the size of its 321 rooms, comfortable bed, extensive breakfast and excellent value for money.

Le Patta Hotel Chiang Rai
Le Patta Hotel is a stylish hotel located just 100 meters from Saturday Night Walking Street and 200 meters from the old bus station, the clock tower and the Night Bazaar. Chiang Rai airport is a 15-minute drive away. The hotel offers three types of comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi, a minibar, a flat-screen TV and a private balcony. The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique Resort & Spa
The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique Resort & Spa is a luxury boutique resort located on the banks of the Kok River in Chiang Rai. This luxury accommodation is a few minutes drive from the city center, walking will get you there in just under half an hour. You can also use the shuttle services to and from the center. The resort has a gym, infinity pool overlooking the river and a beautiful (outdoor) spa. Good food is certainly available! There are three restaurants, including one with stunning river views. Rooms are spacious and decorated in Thai Lanna style, with large balconies or terraces. Some rooms offer river views, while others overlook the garden. The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique Resort & Spa is highly rated for its beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities and super service.

Nak Nakara Hotel
The last luxury hotel in our list of best luxury accommodations in Chiang Rai is Nak Nakara Hotel. A modern Lanna-style hotel located in Chiang Rai, a twelve-minute drive from the impressive Rung Khun Temple, better known as the “White Temple” and the city’s most popular landmark. Moreover, Nak Nakara is within walking distance of Walking Street and the Po Khun Meng Rai monument. The rooms are equipped with modern conveniences, including a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, air conditioning and a safe to place your valuables.
