CHALOK BAAN KAO BAY
Chalok Baan Kao Bay is one of the quiet bays of Koh Tao. The beach is most suitable for sunbathing and relaxing. During high tide the beach is quite narrow and while low tide the sea is shallow for a long time, if you really want to swim you will have to walk quite a bit through the sea. Probably because of this Chalok Bay is not a very popular beach. But for families with small children, the tranquility and shallow water can be an advantage.

DO YOU KNOW?
In clear weather you can see Koh Phangan, Koh Samui and the Ang Thong Marine National Park from this bay!
A place to relax
On the beach there are trees here and there that provide some much needed shade. During low tide a large part of the bay falls dry so you can take a nice walk. On the left side of the bay the John Suwan Viewpoint is visible, be sure to climb it for a fantastic view if you are in an adventurous mood! Chalok Bay has a small village with a 7-Eleven, bakery, several (vegan) restaurants, nice coffee shops, massage parlours and scooter rental companies. Of course there are also a number of diving schools. Actually, everything you need is here in one small area. Chalok Bay is mainly a place where you come to relax. Do you (also) like parties and crowds? Then make sure you have a scooter or stay near the Mae Haad Pier or Sairee.
