BOPHUT BEACH
Bophut Beach is best known for its cozy Fisherman’s Village. The beach is about two kilometers long and is great for sunbathing or a stroll on the beach. The sea can sometimes be a bit murky which makes swimming less inviting. This is especially near Fisherman’s Village. But the water is deep enough for a good swim. Bophut is also known for the beautiful sunsets you can watch from this beach. On Bophut Beach you can rent jet skis so it’s not just lapping waves that you hear. But Bophut is still relatively quiet and for example not comparable to the popular Chaweng Beach.
Visit the Friday Night Market!

You can sing along with the local band or join in a circus act. People from all corners of the island come to Bophut especially for this cozy Friday Night Market, On this market you can buy everything a person might need. The Friday Night Market is a must visit if you like shopping, good food and strolling around!
Fisherman’s Village, take a leisurely stroll
The Bophut village, also called Fisherman’s Village, runs parallel to the sea and has cosy streets full of small (souvenir) shops, pubs and restaurants. The more luxurious restaurants often have a nice sea view. The village of Bophut is touristy without being loud. Bar-girls won’t be seen here often. In the top of some shops you can still see the traditional wooden houses. If you come by plane to Koh Samui you won’t have to travel far, because Bophut Beach is near the airport.
