BEST RESTAURANTS ON KOH LIPE
Of these restaurants on Koh Lipe we know from our own experience and / or by good reviews from fellow travelers that you can eat well. The price/quality ratio is also good here. Check them out below and have fun at Koh Lipe!
The selected restaurants in Koh Lipe are well known. However, it is possible that the quality of the location is reduced due to, for example, new management. We would love to hear from you! Do you have a favorite restaurant in Koh Lipe please let us know via the Koh Lipe Facebookgroep, Instagram or Facebook.
The first on our list with best restaurants on Koh Lipe is immediately one of our favorite spots in Walking Street and in the whole island of Lipe! Super nice staff, good vibe, delicious food and tastefully decorated. Always a party when we walked into Elephant. And what a choice, you don’t get eaten out. You taste that everything is prepared with care and that the staff really does their utmost to make their guests happy. Their credo. Eat | Drink | Play | Read | Sing | Laugh | Repeat. All that is possible here, food and drink speaks for itself, a games corner, books from various countries, live music, and that smile that comes naturally to your face! Tomorrow again?!
For dessert, take the brownie with vanilla ice cream, to melt away!
Almost next to the 7-Eleven and the Sunrise Beach exit of Walking Street you’ll find the recently opened (2018) Café Tropical. This pleasant place belongs to the same owner as Elephant. Which for us equals a nice atmosphere and good quality. If you want a healthy and tasty vegan meal then you’ve come to the right place. How about a Paradise Bowl with chickpeas, egg, potato, tofu, beets, guacamole, cabbage and red rice. No appetite for vegetarian, don’t worry, shrimp, chicken, fish or hamburgers are also available. So the carnivores have also been thought of. Also the fruit shakes are recommended!
This restaurant is located on Sunrise Beach and is a great place to order a delicious Thai curry. The price of the curries is around 110 baht. Good food with a fantastic view is what you get here. And even though the restaurant looks simple from the outside, a lunch or dinner here is more than worth it! Don’t judge the restaurant by it’s front, right? And if you’d rather take your food with you, you can. So you can eat your meal in your hotel or on the beach.
Busy, sometimes chaotic but a lot of fun at long tables, occasional live music, fast friendly service and fantastic food. And all that for a fairly good price! Papaya Mom is a restaurant located on the Koh Lipe Walking Street. There are also many dishes from the Isaan (northern region in Thailand) on the menu. Or how about a delicious chicken or super fresh fish from the BBQ? Are you a vegetarian or do you prefer to go on the fruit and vegetable tour then you have come to the right place. Keep in mind that it is often very busy with Chinese tourists. Not for nothing because those Chinese are a crazy for good food…
Crazy about Mango Sticky Rice? Order this one here, very delicious!
Every once in a while, you’re just hungry for something western. The Box knows how to deal with that! This restaurant, which is also a boutique hotel, serves delicious Spanish tapas! Nice in combination with a good glass of wine…viva Espana (and Thailand of course). Prefer a hamburger, pasta or a nice steak with fries? Of course they do! The Box is located right in the middle of Koh Lipe Walking Street, so don’t miss it! You will have to take into account that the prices are a bit higher because everything has to be imported.
Not really a restaurant but more than worth a mention! Almost in the middle of Sunrise Beach on Koh Lipe you will find this very nice and cozy beach bar… Welcome to Sea La Vie! A fun bar direct on the beach with great decorations. It’s always atmospheric here thanks to the friendly staff and people that this place attracts. There are several seating and lounging areas where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings during the day and a fire show at night. Sea La Vie on Koh Lipe is an ideal place for a nice cocktail by the beach! As it says on one of the numerous colored signs with text “One Life Live It”. Here’s to life, cheers!
We have already given you the option to eat tasty Spanish snacks but of course the Italian kitchen should not be missing. Made in Italy is run by a sympathetic Italian owner and his Thai girlfriend. A friendly couple that runs the restaurant together with a lot of love. Made in Italy is just a few minutes walk from Walking Street. The interior is simple but effective, and while you’re inside you’re kind of outside by the lack of a facade. For a pizza Margarita you pay 220 baht and for a delicious pasta Bolognese 240 baht. By the way, there’s plenty of goodies on the menu, from starter to dessert. And as a nightcap a shot of limoncello from the house. Grazie Italia!
Yeah, another favorite, but not this time on Walking Street. But on our favorite beach on the whole island. On Sunrise Beach you will find the Ten Moons Resort, and of course that includes an excellent restaurant. You can eat as much as you want from the breakfast buffet for 450 baht. The view is amazing and the food is delicious! We recommend the chicken cashew and a mega chocolate shake for dessert. Prefer a drink with a little more spice? The cocktails are awesome! PS Homage to the super friendly, good and service-minded staff!
The On The Rocks Restaurant belongs to one of the most luxurious resorts of Koh Lipe, namely the Serendipity Resort. You will find this restaurant completely hidden in the far south of Sunrise Beach. Of course you can choose from a variety of Thai and western dishes. There is also a large choice of different salads. Like the famous Som Tam for 150 baht a salad with super fresh large shrimps for 250 baht. Keep in mind that the prices in this restaurant are on the high side. BUt, you definitely get good quality and a beautiful location in return!
Thai Pancake Shop 2
The latest from our list with best restaurants on Koh Lipe… In Thailand you can find them everywhere the Thai Pancakes are also called the Roti Pancakes. These folded “pancakes” are promoted in the strangest ways. In Lipe for example there is an old lady who is shouting Yoo-hoo Yoo-hoo. The Thai Pancake Shop 2 (1 also exists) can be found on Walking Street near the entrance / exit of Pattaya Beach. The pancakes we had were really sooo delicious. You have a lot of different toppings to choose from. Various fruits, Nutella, condensed milk, coconut, ham / cheese, egg / bacon and much more. Tasty as a snack and a real bargain. For 50 baht you already have a Thai Pancake with Nutella.
