Asok, also written as Asoke, is a great neighborhood in Bangkok where we like to walk around, shop, eat, drink and sleep! A big plus of Asok is that it has both a BTS (sky train) and MRT (metro) station that are close to each other. With the BTS Sukhumvit Line you are in Siam Square after four stops and the MRT brings you in no time to for example Bangkok’s China Town! Asok is also known as the neighborhood where you will find Soi Cowboy, a fairly safe red light district that goes “on” during the evening hours. Personally we prefer to visit the large shopping mall Terminal 21 instead and the numerous fantastic restaurants where you can eat delicious food such as Enoteca! In short, Asok is a great area in Bangkok where you can definitely spend a few days!
Although Asok is very centrally located, sleeping in Asok is possible with any budget. You sleep in this area from € 6, – per person in a hostel. But there are also plenty of middle class and luxury hotels to be found in this vibrant region of Bangkok! After a lot of desk research and having slept in different places ourselves, we have put together a list of the best hotels in Asok below. Who knows, maybe next time you will sleep in one of these nice locations!

BEST HOTELS IN ASOK - BUDGET
The first and cheapest option on our list is not a hotel but a hostel. In the Revolution Hostel you can choose from dormitories for 8, 6 or 4 persons. There is also a 4-person dormitory exclusively for women. The hostel offers you for a great price in the heart of Asok from where the BTS and MRT are not even a kilometer away. This nice hostel is also within walking distance of two well-known clubs: Titanium Club and GLOW Club. Besides these two clubs you will also find plenty of good restaurants and the famous food court of the Terminal 21 shopping mall where you can eat cheaply. Revolution Hostel has a good value for money and the very friendly staff will be happy to advise you on the best places in Bangkok.
Exactly between the BTS stations Asok (850 meters from the hostel) and Phrom Phong lies the Analog Hostel. A cozy hostel located in a quiet street. You can choose from dormitories for 8, 6 or 4 persons where women are also taken into account. As a woman, you can also choose to sleep in the 4-person dormitory exclusively for women. Analog Hostel is spacious and modern with a kitchen where you can grab coffee and tea day and night. There is a computer corner and fine music is played during the day. The owner and staff are very hospitable and will do everything to make you feel at home. Sometimes it’s just better to go analog in this digital age!
The last hostel in the Asok area that we tip is again a super nice place to sleep. The price includes a simple but good breakfast which you can enjoy on the beautiful roof terrace! And if you’re still hungry then you can have a famous 7-Eleven toasty or something else to snack next door. Suk18 Hostel is located 500 meters from BTS Asok and is neat and tidy – we love this style! Also the staff is to be loved, what a sweet people! The cheapest option is to sleep in a dormitory but you can also book a double room which makes you more private. If you don’t want to spend too much but do want to sleep in the middle of Asok then Suk18 is definitely worth considering!

Sacha’s Hotel Uno is an ideal place to discover Bangkok! Indeed, this hotel is less than a five-minute walk from the BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit stations. The cheapest room is 15 m2 and for a bit more bucks you can sleep in a room twice as big. All rooms are spic and span and have excellent facilities. The bed is lovely and the bathroom has a good shower. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English. Service is very important here. This hotel is definitely one to remember!

BEST HOTELS IN ASOK - VERY LUXURY
Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit is a great and super luxury hotel to discover Thailand’s capital city! In a minute you’re at the Sukhumvit metro station and not far from Asok’s sky train station. A great five-star hotel where you can relax and unwind. The hotel offers an extensive breakfast buffet of the highest quality and there are numerous seating areas here and there where you can relax. Rather more active? How about a game of tennis on your own tennis court in the middle of Bangkok. The rooms are equipped with everything you expect from a hotel like this.
Our favorite and a fantastic super luxury hotel in the Asok area! The Westin Grande Sukhumvit is truly magnificent! Everything about this hotel is superb, and that starts as soon as you’re standing in front of the entrance. The friendly staff opens the door and you know it, you’ve ended up in one of the best hotels, maybe even the best one in the Asok area! Everyone here is so friendly and you feel right at home! Then there are the public places like a great dining room where you can have a fantastic breakfast and/or lunch with a versatile and extensive international buffet. The saltwater swimming pool with more than enough sunbeds or the lobby and bar area where you can completely relax in a nice atmosphere!
All rooms of The Westin Grande Sukhumvit are equipped with a “heavenly bed” which means that the bed is of very high quality and sleeps heavenly! The room and bathroom leave nothing to be desired, from a Nespresso machine to a controller on your bedside table with which you can control the light and air conditioning. Staying here is really a feast!
In The Westin Grande Sukhumvit you will find Kisso, a super good and highly regarded Japanese restaurant. As a lover of Japanese cuisine you must have eaten here! Tip, if you book in advance you can get quite a discount! Enjoy your meal!
