You will also find many good restaurants and nice bars in this coastal town not far from Krabi airport. If you like good food, good accommodations and liveliness most likely you will enjoy Ao Nang! The main beach of Ao Nang is not bad and good for some sunbathing but it’s not the most beautiful beach in the region. In the vicinity are very beautiful beaches that you can easily reach by excursion or a short (boat) ride.

From TAN Hostel x Cafe you are ten minutes walking distance away from the boulevard and the main beach of Ao Nang. The hostel is located on one of the busiest streets of Ao Nang so you easily and quickly can explore the area. In the hostel you can sleep in several dormitories including a special dorm only for the ladies. There is a small kitchen where you can prepare your own food but you can also get something to snack in the accompanying cafe. The friendly staff is very hospitable and makes sure everything is neat and tidy in this hostel. Are you looking for a clean and comfortable hostel in Ao Nang? Then knock on TAN’s door!

This resort is really recommended for families! The Sea Seeker Krabi Resort has a swimming pool where young and old have a lot of fun! There are more than enough sunbeds and there is a shallow play/swim area for the kids. Sea Seeker is a ten minute walk from Ao Nang Beach. Here you will pass a number of very good restaurants, cafes and bars. The resort consists of several neat rooms from 32 m2 including balcony. The cheapest room has mountain views. The most luxurious option is a corner apartment of 40 m2 with panoramic sea views and the beautiful surroundings of Ao Nang.
Het Glur Hostel is ideal for holidaymakers with a small budget and/or backpackers who prefer not to end up in a party hostel. The small-scale terrain of this chill hostel is just outside the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang. This makes you stay in an oasis of tranquility overlooking the cliffs of Ao Nang. While in a few minutes you are back in the center of the lively coastal town. In the Glur Hostel you can book a single bed in the dormitories (mixed or only for women) but there are also different types of double and even family rooms. This hostel also has a small swimming pool for a refreshing splash. The friendly owner and the whole team of Glur are ready to welcome guests at all times. Hospitality with a big G!
At Wake Up Ao Nang it’s nice to wake up! The top team of this small hotel will take care of that! The hotel is less than five minutes from the beach where you can have a drink until late in the evening. Besides double rooms there are even small dormitories for up to four people, so this hotel is also a great option for families or groups. The standard room is 24 m2, super clean and even has a small balcony. Wanting a bit more luxurious? Then book the suite with a view of the Andaman Sea, what a nice spot!

You know what else wakes you up?! The coffee and breakfast at Cafe 8.98 or The Coffee Club, both of which are less than five minutes away!
The Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort is 100% one of Ao Nang’s best accommodations! The resort is located on the busy road of Ao Nang, but in the resort you won’t notice much of that. Because of the central location you can easily reach the beach or the good restaurants and nice bars of Ao Nang. Good to know is that Avani has a very good reputation throughout Thailand including this gem in Ao Nang. But also in Hua Hin, Koh Samui and Bangkok you will find Avani accommodations. All of them are highly rated according to the different review sites. In 2019 we slept in the Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort during our visit to Ao Nang, read our review.
The location of the Krabi Resort is sublime because of the location between two beaches of Ao Nang. With in the north the Nopparat Thara Beach and in the south Ao Nang Beach. Depending on which room you’ve booked, you’ll be on the beach in a hundred or a few hundred steps! That’s a real plus of this resort, you jump right into the salty water of the Andaman Sea! Prefer a splash in fresh water? You guessed it, the resort has a swimming pool with a nice pool bar. Enjoy!
There are plenty of neat rooms to book at the Krabi Resort, the cheapest option is the Deluxe 30 m2 double room. With that room you’ll get a balcony overlooking the garden. It’s obvious that the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach also belongs in our list of best hotels of Ao Nang! Directly on the beach of Nopparat Thara lies this beautiful and large resort where you can enjoy a carefree holiday! Children will be talking about the pool for a long time after returning from that great holiday in Thailand! It looks like a true water park! This one is especially for the party animals and night owls among us! The Slumber Party Hostel where the name says it all! Here you don’t go to sleep but to stay awake! We quote, “Before I could check in, I should’ve took 2 shots of vodka!” LOL! And even though this is a real party hostel, it is clean and the staff has a great sense of responsibility. The Slumbers takes good care of their guests, that may be clear! By the way, in this hostel it’s only possible to book a bed in the dorm room, nice and cozy and a perfect place to meet new people! Just crash and move on to the next adventure, have fun!

Affordable quality is what Ibis is all about, also in the Ibis Styles Krabi Ao Nang. Ibis is a good choice for families with (small) children. Especially because this hotel also has a family room for four persons. In the room is a comfortable double bed and a bunk bed for the kids, ideal! As a couple you sleep here for a bargain! The friendly staff is helpful with the typical Thai smile! Talking about service, even though this hotel is only a fifteen minute walk to Ao Nang Beach, there is also a shuttle that takes you to the beach.

Finally, the dream location Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas. And even though this holiday paradise isn’t located in Ao Nang, it still deserves a place in our list of best hotels in Ao Nang. The resort is located in the private bay called Pai Plong. This bay can only be reached by shuttle boat from Ao Nang or by walking the so-called Monkey Trail, about which you can read more in our article about what to do in Ao Nang.
Let’s say that Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas is a somewhat more exclusive location in this list… The resort is incredibly beautiful and the service and quality is excellent. Of course you pay a price for that. The cheapest room costs a few hundred euros per night but for this amount you will sleep in a room of 72 m2! The most expensive room costs around € 1,000, -, (!)
