The parks of Bangkok are a welcome resting point in all the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. In the middle of the four-lane roads and high buildings are a few oases of peace and quiet here and there. You will see flowers, plants, birds, reptiles and insects that you will never see in an ordinary city park in the Netherlands!
In most parks in Bangkok it is as if it is the most normal thing in the world is that the monitor lizard is walking around! We found this special to see! By the way, the parks in Bangkok are clean and very well maintained and perfect for a picnic. Often there are also small stalls at the entrance where you can buy something to eat and drink. Besides being a great place to relax, the parks also give you a glimpse into the life of Thai people who seem to have no problems with the heat in Bangkok.
